Sadly, J.L. passed away on June 14, 2007. Tiel Weekly continues as an informational and entertaining blog in his honor.
Miss Prissy, a young, beautiful pearl cockatiel, shared J.L.'s life and cage for more than five years. She grew up in a house with many cockatiels, and she enjoys the attention she gets as a special pet. She is very loyal, patient and gentle, and she enjoys eating millet spray and spending time with her human.
Carrera is a young pied cockatiel who flies as fast as a race car and sings as well as an opera singer. He never met J.L. in person, but knows about him from his blog entries. He enjoys sunlight, honey treats, and all the coming and going in the apartment. He likes to try out new things, and he is a very quick learner. Sitting on the humans' shoulders is his favorite pastime.
The Tall One is a human, but she cares very much about cockatiels. She likes to read, write, listen to music, and play with tiels and other animals. She is currently assuming interim editor duties until Tiel Weekly can once again be run by winged writers.

Ooh, I got 100%!! Those comments are interesting, especially about the signs that a tiel is hungry.
Good job! Yeah, being around one of us cockatiels for a while sure makes one smarter! And knowing how to tell if we're hungry is definitely important. Thinking about it, I think the Tall One should have to take the quiz...
