Sad News

I just found out that my friends T-Man and CC-Man lost their grandpa (their human's dad). If you have been visiting their blog, you know that he has been having some health issues lately, and it is sad to hear that he passed away. I know T-Man especially is sad, because he visited his grandpa a lot, even in the hospital and the nursing home, and of course, his human must be very upset. If you would like to read T-Man's post and leave a message under "Comments", I'm sure it would make my friends feel a little better.

T-Man and CC-Man, I am sorry for your loss! Please pass my condolences on to your Mom as well.

T-man Angel said...: JL & Miss Prissy & your Tall One - Thanks for posting your kind note. We are very sad, but blessed to have such wonderful friends who think of us. Mom and I have been busy with the arrangements, and are expecting many out-of-town visitors today. I got groomed for the occasion, and am prepared to entertain everyone with my poodle charms. CC-man is sad too, especially since Mom and I have been away from the house so much. We will be back to our usual routine next week, and back blogging soon.

J. L. LeMone and Tiel Weekly

Tiel Weekly was started by J. L. LeMone, whose picture you see above. This is how he described himself: I am an extremely handsome cockatiel with beautiful bright colors, meticulously preened feathers, and a great singing voice. I share my cage with Miss Prissy, who is pretty, but forgetful. We live in the apartment of the Tall One who feeds us, but does not always obey me as she should.

Here is his description of the blog: The musings of J. L. LeMone, an intelligent and critical cockatiel, about daily life, tiel issues, news, education, the world, and life in general.

Sadly, J.L. passed away on June 14, 2007. Tiel Weekly continues as an informational and entertaining blog in his honor.

J.L.'s Blogging Friends

J.L.'s friends are keeping his blog going.

Miss Prissy, a young, beautiful pearl cockatiel, shared J.L.'s life and cage for more than five years. She grew up in a house with many cockatiels, and she enjoys the attention she gets as a special pet. She is very loyal, patient and gentle, and she enjoys eating millet spray and spending time with her human.

Carrera is a young pied cockatiel who flies as fast as a race car and sings as well as an opera singer. He never met J.L. in person, but knows about him from his blog entries. He enjoys sunlight, honey treats, and all the coming and going in the apartment. He likes to try out new things, and he is a very quick learner. Sitting on the humans' shoulders is his favorite pastime.

The Tall One is a human, but she cares very much about cockatiels. She likes to read, write, listen to music, and play with tiels and other animals. She is currently assuming interim editor duties until Tiel Weekly can once again be run by winged writers.
