The Tall One is Back!

To be honest, I had almost forgotten about the Tall One, because the Cool One took such good care of us, and she has been gone quite a long time. She came back with her huge blue boxes on wheels, and she has been spending a lot of time with us since then. It's so nice to have a human around all day! I've been singing happily, and she has been admiring my beautiful voice.

This morning, she took some pictures of Miss Prissy and me while we walked around on the shelf. She has statues of a cookaburra and a lorikeet that are about our size, so here are some pictures of Aussie birds, real and fake:

I knew he was just a fake, but I still didn't like the way he looked at me with his long beak!

So I showed him who the boss is!

The Tall One had to rescue him from me by taking him away! Ha! I showed him!

Those photos are so cute. Carerra and Miss Prissy certainly look like healthy and happy birdies.

J. L. LeMone and Tiel Weekly

Tiel Weekly was started by J. L. LeMone, whose picture you see above. This is how he described himself: I am an extremely handsome cockatiel with beautiful bright colors, meticulously preened feathers, and a great singing voice. I share my cage with Miss Prissy, who is pretty, but forgetful. We live in the apartment of the Tall One who feeds us, but does not always obey me as she should.

Here is his description of the blog: The musings of J. L. LeMone, an intelligent and critical cockatiel, about daily life, tiel issues, news, education, the world, and life in general.

Sadly, J.L. passed away on June 14, 2007. Tiel Weekly continues as an informational and entertaining blog in his honor.

J.L.'s Blogging Friends

J.L.'s friends are keeping his blog going.

Miss Prissy, a young, beautiful pearl cockatiel, shared J.L.'s life and cage for more than five years. She grew up in a house with many cockatiels, and she enjoys the attention she gets as a special pet. She is very loyal, patient and gentle, and she enjoys eating millet spray and spending time with her human.

Carrera is a young pied cockatiel who flies as fast as a race car and sings as well as an opera singer. He never met J.L. in person, but knows about him from his blog entries. He enjoys sunlight, honey treats, and all the coming and going in the apartment. He likes to try out new things, and he is a very quick learner. Sitting on the humans' shoulders is his favorite pastime.

The Tall One is a human, but she cares very much about cockatiels. She likes to read, write, listen to music, and play with tiels and other animals. She is currently assuming interim editor duties until Tiel Weekly can once again be run by winged writers.
